"New" Couches

Before we moved out here Josh's mom collected a few pieces of furniture that people were getting rid of. We were VERY grateful to have free furniture in our apartment on we moved out here. Actually funny story like 95% of our furniture was free. Our king size bed, couches, kitchen table entertainment center (we've had 2 different free ones now) end table, dresser, night stand and I think that's pretty much it. Maybe one day I'll make a post of our apartment!! ;) Anyways, we had these lovely couches. Doesn't it seriously look like the ones that were in your old college dorm? Yep! They felt just as soft as those did. I coudn't sit on these couches without first putting a blanket down. Any time we watched movies i'd have to tell Josh "wait!" so I could run and put a blanekt down for us. As grateful as I was for these, I HATED them. (One time they rubbed my elbows raw from scratching me so much)
We have a ward blog and I recieved a notification that there was a new post. I quickly read the post and saw a sweet family in the ward was getting rid of their couches! I emailed her and said we would LOVE to take them. They were SO kind and brought them to us within hours of me contacting her AND they even took our old ones to bring to goodwill. How sweet it that? My family was coming to visit and they couches got there right before my family did so we had more seating to fit my big ol' family in our 800 square ft apartment!
These things are a lot more comfortable and they look a thousand times better.

We got an extra chair so now there is more places to sit. It really opened our living room up too.
We have been SO blessed to live our here in a ward that is SO giving!
