Broken, but blessed

My finger is officially broke. My friends at work convinced my my finger did look pretty bad and I needed to go to the Dr. Luckily I was able to quickly get in to see the Dr and to quickly find out that it was indeed, broken.

On Sunday someone bore their testimony about how many blessings we are given but don't even realize. Well come Monday morning my finger was so swollen and sore I could barely put my make up on without using that finger. It literally took me twice as long to put it on my make up and that was gonna make me late to work. When I drive to work I have to go through 4 stop lights in probably half a mile radius and it usually takes like 5 minutes to get through it all WELL as I went through the lights they were all green!! I was like barely late to work, to the point where it didn't even matter. I knew that even though I had a hard time getting ready with a broken finger, the Lord still blessed me.

When I got to work I went to the bathroom and washed my hands. I grabbed a paper towel and tried to gently dry my hand without hurting it, I realized there were soft paper towels! Every now and then we get softer ones, but usually they are cheap and rough and hurt! I knew also that the Lord gave me soft paper towels to make drying my hands easier!

Once I got to work my co-workers convinced me to go to the Dr because it looked pretty bad. I went to the Dr and there was NO line! :) This never happens. I was quickly admitted and diagnosed with a fractured finger and the Dr told me to call a hand surgeon to see what they want to do.

I called my Mom who HAPPENED to be at my Aunt Uncle's House where my Uncle is a nurse. He told me the Dr had "referenced" me to the hand surgeon only to get him more money, and that they were probably friends. I sent him pictures of the X-ray's and he said the only thing that will fix my finger is 'time' and not to waste MY time going to the Dr. I already got a splint and had it wrapped up so that was pretty much all I needed. Had my Mom not of been over there I wouldn't of thought to call and get his opinion! I was able to save more money by not having to go to the hand surgeon only to tell me it's broken and keep it wrapped up.

Even though I do have a broken finger, it could be a lot worse. Because of the testimony on Sunday I was able to realize probably only SOME of the blessings the Lord gave me. It helped me see how that even though we may be faced with trials, the Lord never leavs our side.
