We are (were) on a kickball league! Surprisingly it was a BLAST! I was literally forced to signed up by Josh and some of our friends that I work with and I was so happy they made me! lol. It sounds very childish and not very fun, at least that's what I thought. But we are both very competative people and had fun!
Josh actually wasn't officially a team member but he was a "sub" every week. When someone isn't there you are allowed to have a sub to fill in...well that was Josh! Although it was expected that he was there every week. He played the same position every week and he had an EXTREMELY fast arm!! I was so happy that he was MY husband! That MY husband was one of the best players on the team. I was so proud of him.
On the back of my shirt it says "Texas Tough" but I think the award goes to Josh for being Texas Tough!
What I wasn't excited about was at our last game "the play offs" he slid into third base and scraped his leg up really really bad. It has gotten WAY worse since this picture. I tried to pick the picture that was easiest on the eyes. lol Now it has gotten all bloody and gross. He has to cover it in neosporin and wrap lots of gauze on it and cover it with an Ace bandage anywhere he goes. Especially when he sleeps. He has to clean it everyday and it requires a LOT of maintenance. After he slid onto the base he showed it to me and It looks pretty bad...but by the end of the night when it was all bloody and gross I was in tears because I felt so bad for him. I wished I could have done more for him but all we can do is keep cleaning and wrapping it up. :( He of course is a VERY good sport about it and it doesn't even seem to phase him. That makes me feel better but still I wish I could instantly heal it for him.
I am so proud of him for still being positive and not letting this get him down. I want to learn from him and have such a positive outlook on life. Even though he keeps saying "i'm hurt, I need YOU to do it" I will happily help him with whatever he needs, even when he is milking it.

I'm proud of you for playing - I'm too intimidated by sports like that. Sounds like a lot of fun! K, that leg looks bad. I hope it's getting better now. Can't wait to see y'all again - keep me posted! Luvs!
Impressive! I'm not good at sports - well I'm good at cheering but the playing doesn't go so well. Y'all are too cute and it's fabulous that y'all do so much together. Love ya tons!
