Thankful for...

I've seen all over facebook and everyone's blog how they are writing about the things that they are thankful for and I thought to myself, "Why am I not doing this? I have so many things to be thankful for."


So here I am...learning to become more thankful!

Day 1: I am thankful for living close to my in laws! I was having a hard day today and knowing that I would go home to an empty house, since Josh has to work tonight, made things a little rougher. All day at work I couldn't stop thinking how sad I was to not go home to see Josh. I decided that I'd go over to my in laws to wash our sheets but I had a lot of fun. I really tried to have a good time and not be over there JUST to do laundry, even though it started out that way, but I tried to be more positive since I was sad all day. I made some homemade pizza with Noah! Afterwards Danielle and I had fun looking at old photo albums, laughing at how cute Josh was as a child. I am thankful they were so generous to let me do laundry, and that I was able to have a fun time, while still being productive! ;)

Day 2: Technically I should switch these, but I don't feel like it. I am thankful for the jobs we have to pay the bills! I love going to the store or going grocery shopping, but of course it costs money. As I was doing things around the houes I kept thinking how we were almost out of shampoo, then I remembered I had just bought some more for when we run out. I was brushing my teeth and thought how much I didn't like the tooth paste we had and I couldn't wait till it ran out, and I remembered the stash of toothpaste in the back of the drawer from dentist vistits and such. Although I am runing out of cotton balls in the near future, I thought, "can't I just use toilet paper when i'm out??" that way I don't have an excuse to run to the store and buy new things. lol So as much as I love going to the store, I am thankful that I bought extras for when we do run out, that way I won't ever be completely out, and also for the money we are provided with to buy the things we want and need.

I know these things may seem silly, they are just what seemed to stick in my head all evening and I knew I needed to show some gratitude to the Lord for what he has provided us.
