Coffee Table Revamp

We've been on the prowl for a new coffee table for a while, but of course we wanted something SUPER cheap. (who doesn't?) Our friends sold us their coffee table for $15, thanks! But as every girl knows, plain is boring, and it usually needs some work!

It was brown. Eww.

I sanded it down and painted it black. Still boring.

I knew it needed something but I couldn't quite figure out what it was. Some cute decoration? No. Some sparkly glitter? Yes, but no. It needed something else. I was on the all inspiring pinterest one day and found and amazing idea. Unfortunately home depot doesn't sell wall paper, Lowe's has slim pickins', and yeah wall paper is pretty much OLD SCHOOL! So My genius HUSBAND said "What about wrapping paper?" I thought hmm, it's not Christmas time but I'll check. We walked down the birthday aisle and I found it! EXACTLY What I was looking for! Yay go Husband!

I sprayed the table with adhesive spray, put the wrapping paper on and then modge podged on top, then I sprayed an adhesive spray and voila!

 You likey? Me too. I was so grateful Josh not only found the wrapping paper for me but was so supportive of me making this. Normally he likes to relax on saturdays, who doesn't? But I told him my idea and asked if we could run get the stuff and he said YES! He hates shopping for groceries and things like that so I was really surprised he said he would help me with this. We ran around town trying to find the wall paper but finally found what we needed at walmart. I was grateful he was such a good sport about it! I'm still going to add a few decorations or something on top, but for now i'm very pleased!
