SuperFreak

I decided to go groceries shopping alone yesterday straight after work. I had my big long list and went to Aldi (because of their cheap prices!) but that also means you have to bring your own grocery bags and bag your own food, no big deal when it ACTUALLY makes the food cheaper.

I was near the end of my shopping and rolled past a kid who told his mom "That lady has a lot of food" which made me realize oh great, i'm becoming a scene.

I started unloading all of my food onto the conveyor belt and there was SO much food it took me forever to get it all up there, I was dropping things and I was putting it on (causing a scene again!) and I was backing the line up because of my rather large amount of food. (I buy food to last a month so that means I buy a LOT at a time.) As I was waiting for the lady to finish ringing all my food up I kept thinking "oh my gosh these people think i'm a freak!" When the child told his mom I had a lot of food I wanted to turn to her and say "Oh it's becuase it's for a full month" when I dropped something on the ground that someone picked up I wanted to tell her "Thanks! All this food is for the next month" but I kept telling myself NO! I will not explain or justify myself to people.

It took the lady forever to ring everything up and I kept thinking "I'm so glad i'm fit and buying heathy food, who knows what they would be saying if I was fat and it was all junk food!" Finally I brought my things over to the counter to bag them up. (Another scene) Normally Josh is ther to help it go by faster but alone it took FOREVER. I was bagging everything up and still in everyone's way. I brought a laundry basket to put all my canned foods in (since it's a lot) to make it easier to carry inside the house. I tested it about half way through loading the canned foods and it was plenty light enough to carry so I kept loading. Towards the end I realized how Josh usually carries the basket and I push the cart with things in it so I decided to put the basket of canned goods into my grocery basket then stack stuff on top of it. When I went to lift the canned goods basket it was SO heavy I was trying SO hard to not spill it all over the place. After I finally managed to get the canned goods into my shopping cart I started to stack my grocery bags on top and well, they didn't fit. I pushed the cart and carried a few bags QUICKLY to the car so I could be done with this.

I got everything in the car, sat inside the car and turned up the AC! Oh my goodness was that a chore! I called Josh and told him how hilarious I looked and we kept making jokes about how freaky people thought I was.

When I got home Josh was there to help me unload the groceries and when he lifted the basket full of  canned goods he was like "Oh my goodness how did you lift this?!?" I told him "I told you! I was under some serious pressure! I had to keep my cool!" We joked it was like those stories about a mom lifting the car off a child or something. hahahah

I keep laughing everytime I think about yesterday, it was so funny because I look like a college student or something buying TONS of food. It would be different if I looked like a mom or had several kids it would of explained the cart full of food, but a 20 something year old girl? Hahahah

Just wanted to share a good laugh.

Hahaha I hate when I can't explain myself to everyone around because I'm doing something that seems unusual. Way to go though, way to be strong (:

I laughed at the banter between you and Josh, I could picture it, like the good ol' days in Utah :) Now I want to go to Aldi!

Whenever I take the kids with me we make a scene so don't worry! Garrett rearranges all the candy while I check out. That is funny that you had your laundry basket so full :)
